Decorative Items for Summer Entertaining

Summmer Party Checklidt

Summer calls for lots of fun entertaining. So whether you plan to BBQ, picnic, or just host cocktails with your windows open, it’s nice to add a few new accents into your reportoire. Here are a few pieces I picked up that just scream summer chic!

Shell Pillows from C. Wonder: they look great on your couch, patio furniture (although don’t leave them outside post-event!), or even in your bedroom! White accents: I totally fell for this dual function decorative piece {art plus practical lift-off lid} Owl from Jonathan Adler. Cheese boards: although the Olive Cutting boards from ABC Home are meant for chopping, I couldn’t resist using them for serving as well. I use them for serving cheese, proscuitto, dried fruit, and nuts. Frames: all of your summer activities will lead to endless new photos, so take my lead and print out pictures {I know this concept is almost a lost novelty} and display them in a beautiful William Yeoward Crystal frame. Coffee Table: this has been by far my favorite splurge this season. My new West Elm White Lacquer Coffee Table has a sleek look and my husband loves that top lifts up (so he can use it as a table-top when eating on the couch). Linen Napkins: nothing screams summer like linen and Kim Seybert has a fabulous assortment. I chose the white with gold Greek key print, but she has so many fun colors to match back to your theme! Napkin Rings: to match your “summer” napkins, Juliska’s Bamboo Napkin Rings are a fun change from your classic metals. Cake Stand: there’s no better way to end your party than with a sweet dessert; I love my new Juliska Amalia Cake Stand (and bonus: it matches my flutes). So there you have it, just get your paperless post invites ready for your next big event, and you are summer party ready!
