Be my Bridesmaid

Asking your bridesmaids to be a part of your wedding party is such a special moment. It’s a chance to show the people who have been most supportive in your life that you appreciate them and want them to stand alongside you on your big day. If you are lucky enough to live in the same city as this select bunch, I recommend hosting a memorable evening filled with champagne and sweets so you can ask “Will you be my bridesmaid?” face-to-face.

How do I recommend you pull it off without giving away the surprise prior to guests arriving? Call / text / or email each girl individually and say you are having a few people over for cocktails. Maybe makeup a movie on TV you want to watch, an announcement at work you wanted to share, or simply call it a girls night. Don’t mention EVERYONE who is coming… make it seem relaxed like “a few people will try and stop by.”

My favorite details to hosting this party are for your table of course. Champagne is a must and I LOVE the newest collection of Sofia canned champagnes {ie. sold as the Francis Ford Coppola Sofia Mini Blanc de Blancs 4-Pack}. They are pink cans that come with a straw and perfectly sized for each gal to have their own! Then for sweets, I love Macarons {I picked mine up from Laduree}; they look so elegant displayed on a pretty cake stand alongside pink and white cocktail napkins {or better yet, match the color of your napkin to your ‘wedding colors!’}. Once everyone has arrived, it is time for the big announcement. Cheers and relish in the happiness!!
