Host a Fourth of July Party

After attending Lexington Company‘s Press preview two months ago, I knew I had to keep them in mind when setting my 4th of July Table. In their American Summer Collection they have everything you need to make your table look patriotic, from placemats, to napkins, to plates! What I love most is that you can take some of these pieces beyond the holiday as well; their stars and stripes placemats are reversible so I am thinking I may re-use the red side for a Christmas Party!

So what did I do to create the perfectly Patriotic 4th of July table? I took the reversible placemats and alternated sides, half showing stripes and half showing stars. Then I did the same alternating the reversible napkins, half showing the stripes and half the stars. Since I had so much going on with my prints there was not much room for elaborate centerpieces, so I chose a few unscented white pillar candles, a pine cone candle from West Elm {which unfortunately they no longer carry, but I found this link for them here}, and a small bowl of strawberries. And who doesn’t want an ice cold bucket of beer to complement a hot summer day? I made them look as classy as beer can look by placing them in my Carlo Alessi Ice Bucket by Alessi.
