Use Coffee Table Books as Decor

Lusting for a quick update to your coffee table {see my last look here}? Look no further than your bookshelves! Grab a group of four hardcover books and stack them on your table {spine facing outward}. Have a color theme in mind so they sit well together; then match back to these colors by picking up some fresh complimentary flowers. In the summer I love to display books in an array of colors and then match back to wild flowers.

A fun idea: Choose your books wisely! When hosting guests, pick a genre of books that can lend to great conversation, whether it be travel, food, or art! Some of my coffee table book favorites are by American photographer Slim Aarons who shoots gorgeous people and places like Capri {shop below}.

To complete the look, I placed a modern-style Alessi bowl alongside my flowers and books. Don’t own a funky bowl? Simply fill a neutral colored bowl with bright colored fruit and you are done!
