About two weeks ago I officially re-launched Fashionable Hostess. My goals: to make it easier to navigate {I hope you will browse my top header bar for category pages that are packed with content!}, to become more pleasing to the eye {my post images are now much larger and brighter}, to incorporate more overlap with my social media channels {notice my new ‘Pin it’ button when you hover over images as well as my footer Instagram feed}, and to overall become a more sleek and chic site. With the help of my Web Programmer Ansley Fones, this came to life, so I am so appreciative and excited.

Of course I needed a fabulous party to compliment this big milestone in my career so I decided to throw a festive gathering at my apartment to celebrate. The invite list included 25 guests consisting of bloggers, editors, publicists and friends. I welcomed guests with mini bottles of Le Grand Courtage Champagne complimented by Jenny Bevlin ‘cheers’ drink tags and served with custom-made straws from Sheppardley. I made my dining table the buffet packed with rich and savory treats, ranging from cheese and salami platters served alongside decadent crackers to mini pastries and pistachio crusted macarons from Maison Kayser. I even whipped up a few things myself {shocking!}… bite-size crackers topped with goat cheese, cherry tomatoes and basil as well as festive fruit skewers which I held together with festive toothpicks.

For serving pieces I used an array of metallics, from my Mariposa three tiered cake stand {remember their pieces from this post} to my Julia Knight trays, which I displayed on top of a beautiful Chilewich table runner. My living room was the focal point for guests when they arrived, so I decided to create a show stopping flower arrangement, a lush assortment of white flowers including stock {being the tallest}, hydrangeas, and ranunculus in staggered sized Jonathan Adler vases {the Futura Greek, the Futura Circles, and the Futura Bullseye}.

I want to give a special thanks to Carly Saint Pierre for creating the most gorgeous floral arrangements and to photographer Alexandra Wolf for capturing it in such an elegant way! The night was the perfect celebration and I am looking forward to everything that is to come on FH thanks to this updated design!
