When it comes to dessert, you know I can’t resist a stunning table of baked goods, so when Laura Geller announced the launch of their ‘Baked’ Delectables Collection I was immediately intrigued. Baked eyeshadow? All the glam, nix the calories. Sign me up!

As a play on this whole ‘baked concept’ I had some fun styling my photo shoot with the cutest delectable desserts, mini pink cupcakes, and equally delectable eye palettes. But seriously, I am in love with this collection. Each palette comes equipped with 14 baked pigment colors, each a long-wear formula that doesn’t crease or smudge.  The Delicious Shades of Nude is perfect for day-time meetings or brunch, while the Delicious Shades of Cool is sexy for a night on the town. Apply dry to your eyelids, or wet for more vibrant color. And the best part…  the key ingredients are Centella Asiatica and White Tea Extract which provide antioxidant protection, and Jojoba Seed Oil, which moisturizes delicate eyelid skin!

  2. Frette Bath Linens

I am loving spending time in my new bathroom… a vanity area to prep for my day, natural light from my large window, counter space to lay out my makeup… it’s amazing how you truly appreciate these things after living in tight bathrooms with minimal counter space {or any space for that matter} in New York City!

For today’s post I partnered with a brand that’s quite familiar with the idea of enjoying life’s small luxuries, Frette. Frette is one of the world’s leading fine linen brands, with bed and bath linens that can be found in some of the world’s most prestigious hotels, homes, and stores. When we spoke about partnering I knew their towels would be my dream finishing touch to make this space my mini sanctuary of relaxation.

Because I have been sharing my home updates, I figured I should share how I transformed this space to start. {No, it did not look exactly like this when we bought the house…while we didn’t move the countertops or change the hardware… we did give the bathroom a nice “facelift.”} The mini makeover consisted of replacing the sconces {which I got from Worlds Away}, the mirrors {which I got from Gabby}, cabinet knobs {which I got from Bathroom Unique}, and painting the cabinetry and walls {with paint from Benjamin Moore}.

Personalizing the space to become my mini haven meant incorporating Frette’s plush terry bath sheets {which are about twice the size of any normal towel}. Then merchandising a dish of my favorite summer perfumes {the newest being Figue eu de Perfume from Calypso St Barths}, purchasing a funky vanity stool {which I was thrilled to come across at HomeGoods}, and of course displaying the prettiest pink roses throughout. Welcome to my happy place!

  3. Natural Aromatherapy Essential Oils: 21 Drops

    21 Drops Oils

Ever since I got pregnant for the first time I have gradually changed my lifestyle to become healthier. I gave up artificial sweeteners {I cannot believe I used to use 2 and a half splendas in my coffee and now use none!}, I started eating primarily organic {check out this FH post where I got advice on what organic foods are most important to splurge on}, and I swapped as many over the counter medicines for all natural remedies as possible. Three years ago if a headache or migraine hit, I immediately ran for 2 tylenol and a can of soda to wash it down {oh, I now maybe drink 1 soda a month… another thing I gave up!}. More recently when a headache hits I try a variety of natural remedies like massages {a huge perk of living in New York City where every local nail salon offers 10 minute massages for $15}, herbal teas, and 21 Drops aromatherapy oils.

If you are not familiar with 21 Drops then I am excited to introduce you because my cousin Cary, a Licensed Massage Therapist and certified Aromatherapist, is the founder. 21 Drops is a collection of aromatherapy oils made from 100 percent natural essential oil blends sourced from either wild-crafted or organically grown plants. They have formulas for sleep, headache, de-stress, and invigorate {my four favorite} but also equally as popular are the decongest, immunity, and detox! From ailments to overall healthy living, they can be used daily!

To use the drops, simply pick your oil {check out options here or even better are their sets} and dab a few drops of oil whenever you need a mood enhancer. From your temples, back and sides of your neck, collarbone, to right under your nose, each one comes with directions for the best method. Simply breathe in deeply and take in the soothing aromas to begin the healing process.

I was beyond thrilled when my cousin told me I could even rub a bit of the ‘sleep’ oil on Baby Brooks’ feet at night {he is not a great sleeper} or that I could rub a bit of the ‘focus’ on my temples rather than that extra afternoon coffee! So for those of you out there who are hunting for a new healthy and all-natural way to heal or simply enhance your well-being, I recommend you check these out!
